Week 10 - the Kumquat

Welcome to the Baby Amato Blog!

Jeff and I thought since many of you are not in Oregon - a quick little written/visual update would be something you all would enjoy. Plus, you will actually be able to see me grow as round as I am tall... or as my brother Scott likes to remind me... watch me "turn into a tank"... (I know who we WON'T be naming the baby after... geesh!)

We go for our first ultrasound on April 21st to hear and see for the first time which is really exciting. Hopefully then we can post something other than pictures of tropical fruit.

Baby News - According to our weekly newsletter...

"Although its barely the size of a kumquat a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, the baby now has completed the most critical portion of its development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature. If you could take a peek inside your womb you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin."

I love this! Thanks for allowing the "outsiders" a peak inside all of the exciting news.
Tell your little Kumquat hello from Chicago!

If a boy it will be the "Little Man" with a suggested name such as Michael John Amato. If a girl it will be My Little Girl with name such as Michele Laura Amato.

I was thinking about colors - red or blue - blue or red.
