Hello to Everyone! We finally have a sunny day in Portland - after about a month straight of rain, it is definitely well received.
Today's entry will be short and sweet. The baby is now the size of a fig. The only other thing that is new these days is that the list of foods I won't eat for whatever reason seems to be growing - right now anything involving tomatoes or tomato sauce and apparently most recently organic chicken sausages from Trader Joes. I've been craving oranges a lot - and chai lattes from Starbucks, random I know.
How the baby's growing:
The baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Its hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.
It's already busy kicking and stretching, and its tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as its body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel the baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that its diaphragm is forming.
